We have established that
channel 27 on our TV will be screening the RWC final live – good so far.
Stumbling block number one – it’s at 02h00 (Pacific Time). This is not an
insurmountable problem – stay up late, do a bit of blogging, drink some beer,
watch the build-up, watch the game, celebrate if we win. No problem? Um problem

provider and after 30-minutes of ingratiating politeness we establish there’s a
“cable break” but we must have a good day. That’s now not that easy. But wait,
we’re DSTV Premium subscribers – Benjy give details please – he does. Bingo!
Shouted by someone else because DSTV streaming doesn’t work in a country where
DSTV doesn’t operate. Fred please help – he does, thanks Fred. We need a VPN
account – we duly subscribe for one month. This time it’s us shouting Bingo!

We don’t care who plays for England, we’ve opened such a big can of “Whip-ass” it doesn’t matter! We also have our can of bear spray as a handy reserve!

of divided loyalties.
Kenya – Katy and Nick are in on the mix. In Barcelona – David and Jade are

And as they say, the rest is
history. We can’t top any of the official reporting but this one sums up our
win and the amazing resilience of our beautiful country!
Life goes on but somehow
today the grass is a little greener, the sun a little more golden, our spirits
a little lighter, and our daily chores a little easier.
Shopping in Sunriver
Marketplace followed by a burger brunch – we missed breakfast after this
morning’s excitement, laundry washing, a walk to Sunriver Village followed by a
big cook up shoulder of beef for a yummy early supper.
Martie’s in cooking mode and makes
chicken and vegetable soup for the week. We’re back into blog mode and this
afternoon on our walk to the Village we see a “Hairy Woodpecker” and a very
interesting golf course but played with frisbees – a clever concept because
less ground needed, and one can play this novel game summer or winter. The
“hole” is a little more complicated.
